On of my readers on this blog posted this question:
Does natural hair strickly mean chemical processors for this purpose, or does it include hair colors, conditioners, and mosisterizers.
I thought that was a great question and wanted to address it here.
“Natural hair” for black women is, by definition, hair that is not processed and not chemically altered
However for the purpose of tree braids, feed in cornrows, or any other braided style I like to think that hair that has not had its actual texture changed to be considered “natural” for braiding purposes. So as long as you have not received a relaxer or texturerizer or something similar to that then you will be ok to receive a braided style.
