Who is Kristen Lock?
Welcome to KristenLock.com, you have currently found my online store. By now I hope you know of my Urban Hair Instructional Series, currently featuring Tree Braids 101 and Cornrows 101. I contribute to the world by teaching hair styling and hair maintenance skills I have learned during my career in the industry.
This store is more than just a place to buy stuff, will find my personal review of every product that we sell on this site in addition to other user reviews. I make it a point to review every product that you will find on this site.
One thing you will not find on this site are products that are full of harmful chemicals or any positive mentions of relaxers, especially those that contain lye. While I do not consider myself a naturalist, I strongly subscribe to many of the ideas of that ideology. We try to promote three main beliefs behind every product that we sell on this site:
- All women have the right to style their hair and bodies as they see fit. You are the best judge of what is takes to make you look and feel good. If someone disagrees, tell them to pay for a makeover!
- Find a balance between health and cost. Organic and natural products have great benefits and we do recommend them. Educate yourself on whatever you put in and on your body!
- Women are naturally beautiful and that goes double for women of color. Represent yourself as a woman at all times!
